If you fail the exam the first time around, don’t despair. There is no limit as to how often you can take the exam. The only rule is that each attempt must be at least 91 days after any previous attempts.

If you enjoy working as a nurse, but would like a higher salary and more career opportunities, you may want to take an LPN to RN program. These programs allow candidates to skip course work they have already completed as part of getting their LPNs and thus graduate more quickly than they would if they were starting with no medical background. Some employers pay at least part of the cost for LPN to RN programs, so if you are working in the field as an LPN, ask your employer if they sponsor such a program.
